Romans 3

What if everything we thought could earn us standing before God turned out to be beside the point? Romans 3 takes us on a journey through one of the most humbling and ultimately liberating truths in all of Scripture: every single one of us, regardless of background, religious practice, or moral effort, stands condemned apart from Christ. Paul builds his case systematically, showing that creation condemns the unbeliever, conscience condemns the moral person, and the law condemns the religious. No one escapes the verdict. But here is where the passage takes a breathtaking turn. The same God who issues the just verdict steps in as the justifier. Through faith in Jesus Christ, we are justified freely by His grace, not by anything we have done or could ever do. The law was never meant to save us; it was meant to show us we need saving. When we understand that, the law stops being a ladder we climb and becomes a mirror that drives us straight to the cross. This message challenges us to examine where we are placing our confidence and whether we have truly grasped the staggering gift of grace that stands at the center of the gospel.
