In our week four teaching, Pastor Jonah reviews Chapter 2 of the Calvary Chapel Distinctives - Church Governance. We learn about three traditional models of church governance. They are episcopal (bishop-led), presbyterian (elder-led), and congregational rule. The synopsis on these models is that none of them are free from producing conflict or inefficiency. Pastor Chuck Smith offers up a fourth model (the Moses model) as one that is less prone to issues with "hireling" pastors who are at the mercy of the overseers of the other three models.
