Leadership Class 2026 Week 3

In our week three teaching, Pastor Jonah reviews Chapter 1 of the Calvary Chapel Distinctives - God's Model for the Church. Too often in contemporary Christianity churches resemble the corporate world at the expense of the presence and governance of the Holy Spirit. This was not what we see when we examine the newly formed church after Pentecost, which was directed by the Holy Spirit in all of its decisions and actions. This apostolic church we read about in the book of Acts was focused on 4 basic functions, adhering to the Apostles' teaching, fellowship, breaking of bread and prayer. Pastor Jonah goes into detail on each of these four functions and how we strive to model our church structure around these same activities.
